About Us

The Payments Association of Zambia (PAYZ) is the national industry body representing the payments sector in Zambia. Established to promote safe, secure, and inclusive digital financial services, PAYZ works to strengthen the country's payments ecosystem through collaboration, advocacy, and innovation. Its members include Payment Service Providers (PSPs), Mobile Money operators (MMOs), Fintechs, Banks, and other key stakeholders driving Zambia's transition to a cashlite economy.

Sector-Specific e-KYC

Supporting development of a centralised payment infrastructure and shared identity rails for the financial sector.

DFS Code of Conduct

Development of the Digital Financial Services Code of Conduct as an industry self-regulating tool ensuring defined rules, standards, and ethical practices for every player in the DFS space.

Standardised Mobile Money Agent Training

Provision of standard mobile money agent training that ensures improved last mile agent service delivery, enhanced service provider compliance, and uniform agent training country-wide.

Digital/Financial Literacy Campaigns

Raising public awareness of digital financial services, consumer protection, fraud, saving and investing, budgeting, money management, pension and insurance, etc.

Facilitating Domestic Fintech Development

Stimulating home grown payments and fintech solutions through enabling policy, capacity building, and industry readiness.
